And the winner for Best Female Singer of the Year goes to... Rachel Alucard!

[ so luka stands up from her seat, smiles pleasantly and waves to the audience before she begins to stride up onto the stage. her hair flows behind her, curled slightly at the end enough to look curly, but still keep a relatively "she has naturally straight hair look". her dress is black with pink accents, a striped pink bow around her middle, the hem of the dress sways just enough to captivate everyone who's watching her coming onto the stage now.

and boy, everyone sure is watching her -- ]

...Megurine-san, what are you doing...? You didn't win this category.

[ -- accepting an award that she didn't win ]

... What. What was that? I don't think I heard you right. Say that again?

Oh, I know that well enough already. Have you read the tabloids lately? They don't like foreigners, evidently. [She notices that tenseness - it's basically a dead giveaway that she's right on the money.]

By all means. Drink as much as you like. [She gets up to pour herself another cup of tea, grabbing the photo and putting it back as she does. Luka can probably see four or five other photos. Feel free to wonder if they're to the same tune as that first one, but the answer is yes.]

You don't have to worry about me adding fuel to the fire. Forcing you out of the business wouldn't lead to any more sales for me, after all. In fact, it might make things worse for me. [She sips on her new cup of tea.]

... Though, you have quite the wandering eye. [Yeah, she's calling her out on that, finally.]

They might reconsider their dislike for you, now that you've landed yourself a mark in history. With that award, a lot more people are going to notice you.

[ her eyes follow rachel when she stands up to leave, but they quickly avert back to her empty cup of tea. well, no use in getting a separate glass for the alcohol.

of course, the minute to goes to down that teacupful of champagne, she chokes on it ]

Your eyes. You're gazing at my body like it's a choice cut of meat. Every time I get up to do anything, you're following the curves of my body. I half expect you to pounce ay any given moment.

It's unsightly. If you're going to be a pervert, at least have the decency to commit yourself to it. Or did you somehow think I wouldn't notice?

I don't understand what you're talking about, Miss Alucard. It's indeed unsightly, which is why I haven't... been looking. [ but that pause pretty much says the exact opposite ]

And then she suddenly turns around to look at Luka, mid-motion.]

[ she hears rachel begin to move, which only means that she's purposefully trying to get her to look. which luka recognizes. so she's restraining herself, eyes trained on her half-full cup of champagne, but the more rachel walks around, luka's curiosity and restraint ends up crumbling.

so she looks up, seeks her out and then meets with her eyes ]

You're free to look all you like, Miss Megurine. I am a beautiful young lady, after all. But acting like you aren't looking only serves to insult the intelligence of us both.

[ there goes the rest of that alcohol. luka's pouring another cup now ]

She gets the box of biscuits and sets them on the table, taking one and giving it a small, polite bite once she sits back down, chewing slowly and dabbing at her cheeks with a napkin once she's swallowed.

Ah, this? I was afraid you wouldn't come, so I was nearly ready to retire. These are my sleep clothes. [She sips on her tea.]

If you didn't want to see me in them, you should have come sooner. Or perhaps this was your plan all along?

I can't argue against that. [ because luka's just as confident about her appearance as rachel is. hey, look! they share something in common. ]

And no, it wasn't -- are you trying to make me out to be a pervert? Because I'm not. [ luka kind of huffs a bit, then takes a sip of her champagne ] You really didn't think I was going to come? I'm a woman of my words, I don't just leave people hanging.
