[ why is their school doing this, again?
because their school is run by a bunch of tightasses, shiro reckons.
she's standing there towards the back of the crowd that's participating in the test of courage. she really could be doing better things, but no, of course not -- ]
Dammit, Kuro, get your ass here or I'll take mine and leave...

[strolling up to shiro's side, distaste written all over his face] What's up?

What's up? You're the one who invited me to this, idiot.

[forlornly] But, yeah, so what? I mean, at first, I was all excited—ready to go on this great adventure into the spirit world and eventually meet a hot exorcist lady. I was so excited, I even invited this plain girl out with me. Little did I realize that with her tagging along, she would just scare away the demons I would encounter and, by proxy, any chance to be swooped off my feet by a hot exorcist lady.
...not that I actually thought that I would meet one. It was all wishful thinking; making the entire situation more exciting than it really was. Hoping for some quick scares that would quickly turn into a journey I would never forget—hah. Wouldn't that be pleasantly convenient? [snorts in self-derision] I'm just playing my role is all. Or. At least trying to.
What kind of role is "bored teenage boy" anyways? It's almost as lame as "bored teenage girl", right Shiro? [glances back at his companion expectantly]

[ she's been focused on trying to see when the event will actually start and... apparently wasn't really listening to him, sorry protagkun ]

[moves up ahead, disgruntled] We should just be able to go on the trail—making us wait would dim down the fear factor and make all the scares less authentic. Now, c'mon.

[ scrambling after him, dammit don't leave her aloneeee ): ]
You don't think they made this really scary, do you? I mean, how good of a job do you think this is?
