[ luka remembers hearing people running to her, their voices dripping with concern and with worry, and then she remembers the color black.
waking up in the the nurse's office only proves the unspoken fact that she had passed out during the choreography session earlier. ]
Ugh, head hurts... [ she groans, blinks for a moment, and luka decides to settle back down against the bed in the office. she's taken naps here before, on days where she feels like skipping work, but she's never actually been sick at the nurse's office.
sleeping in one of these beds is like heaven, though, so despite feeling like shit, the simple pleasure of laying against these nice beds, these fluffy pillows and warm sheets is like heaven.
she rolls onto her side, groans, yawns and then tries to go back to sleep ]
...If someone comes in here, I swear...

Back with us? How are you feeling, dear? [Her voice is, well, doctorly. Polite, kind, but a bit business-like at the same time.]
You took a nasty bump on the way down, but you don't seem to be having trouble speaking. [Oh. Hey. She heard. All of that.] Do you have any aches or pains besides the headache?
no subject
[ a groan of misery but not of illness. luka kind of lays still for a moment, hoping that the doctor will leave in a second if she pretends to be asleep. she soon figures that it won't work (she's not five, for god's sake) and rolls onto her back.
she stares at the ceiling for a good while ]
I'm feeling fantastic, thanks.
[ and then turns her head -- oh wow, is this really the doctor? ]
Uh. [ shit ] A little sore in the chest, dunno why though. [ don't mind luka staring ]
no subject
Careful not to get your heart racing. That could make the headache worse. [LITCHI...] So, headache and a bit of chest pain? [She jots that down, wheels herself closer, and stands up, reaching for the stethoscope around her neck.]
Lift your shirt, please. [So that just happened. Litchi lets that hang in the air for a second. Then continues on as if nothing had happened.] Now, how long has it been since you had proper rest? Everyone was telling me you overworked yourself, but they wouldn't tell me how badly.
no subject
her hands reach for the hem of her tank top and she's already half way lifting it before she realizes that she's
lifting her top up for a doctor she hasn't even met -- god, when did this babe get hired, anyway and why wasn't she aware of this change in staff? -- and realizing that there really isn't any chest pains.
well... back to lifting that shirt, and she'll stop whenever the doctor says so ]
I get plenty rest. [ no you don't luka ] When I'm not working, I'm sleeping -- really, everyone else is just over exaggerating everything.
no subject
It makes for a stark contrast from the old guy they had before, huh.]
And how often are you working? Ah, think that one over while I... [She puts the ear tips in her, well, ears, adjusts them a bit, then nods and stands up over Luka. Litchi might not be able to see the lukaboob, but that cold stethoscope is making contact with one as she slips it under her shirt. Then the other. All while Luka is getting a marvelous view of Litchi's, well, everything.
After what probably seems like an eternity to Luka, she nods and pulls away, tugging Luka's tank top back down for her. Isn't she nice? Then she takes the ear tips back out and yeah.]
Well, everything checks out. There, anyway. [She walks back to the chair, jots something else down, then looks back at Luka.]
Now, back to my question. How often are you working? Even if you're getting, say, seven or eight hours of sleep a day, that might not be enough. Especially if you're working every waking hour. Do you ever relax? Enjoy a hobby?
no subject
luka sits perfectly still, like she's been trained to do for photoshoots and for interviews, and when the stethoscope leaves her chest she exhales heavily and leans against the back of the bed. she's a little taken aback by the polite gesture, too, and she's not really sure why.
maybe it's because this doctor's hot and luka's has the headache that hurts like a bitch and she's at the disposal of said doctor. ]
Okay, if you want specifics, I usually check in at 7 and out at around 9 or 10. It really depends on what's the schedule, though. I have to adapt to whatever I'm needed for.
All I really do is sleep when I have a moment to myself. [ and here, she yawns like she's been cued to ] I go shopping sometimes. [ and drag my manager around to dress her up like a doll but let's not tell the doctor that ]
no subject
Also that was a big ol' sigh so Luka gets to enjoy that sight for a bit.]
A healthy sleep schedule isn't 'when I can,' for one thing. Your headache will probably go away on its own, same with the chest pain, but if you keep this schedule up it'll just come back again. If you don't want to collapse every other week, you're going to have to cut back. I'll have a talk with your manager, and your producers.
Take up a hobby besides shopping, too. Something that relaxes you - I play mahjong, myself, but that isn't guaranteed to work for you. The specifics don't matter, just find something soothing. Understand?
no subject
[ nonchalantly ]
Sex does, too.
no subject
Secondly, if shopping's a relaxing hobby for you, that's fine, but try to find something that you can do on your own, without having to deal with crowds. Even if you're an extrovert, you lead a very social life, as an idol. A few moments to yourself could do you a world of good.
Thirdly, unless you're having sex daily, that doesn't count as a relaxing hobby. Try again, dear.
no subject
But, I mean -- I could be having sex daily, starting today, maybe? Right at this minute, even.
no subject
Just take two of these. The headache should be cleared up by the time they wear off, but if it's still there take some more and call me in the morning.
... Of course, if I let you go home, I imagine you'll go right back to working. Am I right?
no subject
[ taking the painkillers anddd popping two of them in her mouth, as told by the doctor ]
I really think sexual activity would help me some, right now. It's a healthy way to relieve stress, isn't it? Something like that.
no subject
... Except on that 'don't work' thing, apparently. Litchi sighs.]
I see you aren't going to give up on this. Hm. [oh, wait, hold on, she has an idea that totally won't backfire.]
How much do you know about mahjong, then?
no subject
no subject
Anyway, how about this? We'll play mahjong. Strip mahjong, actually. You win, I'll go along with whatever it is you want me to do. I win, you go home and rest. [This might seem ridiculous, but Litchi has absolutely no reason to believe Luka even stands a chance of winning.]
Does that sound fair?
no subject
[ except luka only vaguely knows about mahjong -- she knows her father played it all the time but she's never asked about it or anything. it looked boring, if you had to ask her 10 year old self. ]
Consider this a bet then, Doctor. I hope you don't get cold easily.
no subject
[Luka can get her given name along with her clothes, if she happens to lose. She better hope her father passed down all that knowledge genetically, is what she's getting at. Also she has a Mahjong set under a counter, hidden away in some cabinet. Of course. There's even a convenient table in the room!]
I'll explain as we go, dear. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. [Just... getting all that set-up.]
Ah, and don't worry. If you get too cold sitting around nearly naked, I can turn the heat on.
no subject
[ but only vaguely. just the bare minimum, but hey -- the basics are important! and all that she knows, so luka can't really afford to mess up at all. gotta be perfect like always. ]
I'll let you take the first move.
no subject
Handwaving powers go, and a short time later - a very short time later - she's lost a hand.]
Ahh... I see. [She's just... gonna take her hair out of its tight bun, now, so it flows freely. That panda-shaped hairclip counts as a piece of clothing, right?]
That was very lucky. [She can't emphasize that enough.]
no subject
she's so relieved that she won, slumps back against the pillows and lets out a sigh. 1 for pop sensation megurine luka, zip for doctor faye-ling.
speaking of zip...
luka takes a good look at her; gosh, all of that hair framing not only her face but her whole body, too is like icing on the cake ]
I've played a bit, but so have you, it seems.
no subject
[Litchi makes a point of stating that before brushing her hair out with her hand - it trails down to her feet, practically, so it really is framing her whole body - and getting back to business.
...
Her business of losing, evidently. She blinks down at the table, blinks up at Luka, then reluctantly undoes some of the many random bits of cloth around her legs, standing up to set it aside on some counter or another. Hope you like those legs, Luka.]
... Enjoying the view? [Because trust her Litchi will notice if you do.]
no subject
luka isn't one to lie about or hide the fact that she is looking ]
More than I probably should, Doctor. [ she grins, confident after her second win ]
You talked so fondly of mahjong, I thought you would've been beter than this. [ shut up luka you're winning out of sheer luck here ]
no subject
[And she's just. Not even gonna bother dignifying that last bit with a response. Mahjong is some luck and some skill, and Luka's just gotten incredibly lucky enough that Litchi's skill can't make up the difference. The streak has to run out at some point, right?
... Evidently, not now. Litchi looks absolutely stunned for a second, then sighs and stands back up to take off her loose, billowing sleeves. This might be a bit of a disappointment to Luka, but hey, smooth arms that end in long fingers. Also armpits if she has some sort of weird thing for that.]
If I didn't know better, I'd say you were cheating.
no subject
[ and watching those sleeves fall, her lips quirk up into a smirk ]
Perhaps it was my excellent charm and my stunning beauty distracted you?
no subject
[Litchi is absolutely determined to show this kid what for, now. Yes, she wants Luka to go home and relax for her own good, but this has also become about her pride.
... Which makes the next defeat even more frustrating.]
... Haa. [She was so close! Luka is either cheating or has the luck of God on her side. Litchi outright pouts as she gets to her feet, though she's quick to notice and try to rework it into a more mature expression. As she. Takes her shoes off. At least it means her legs are completely bare, now, and there is a very interesting show of her placing her leg up on a counter as she does. Since the last thing she wants to do is bend over with Luka staring at her.]
Luck ends eventually, you know.
